Ascender has announced a new Web Fonts license to allow web designers to embed fonts on their websites. The web fonts license provides web designers with access to a broad collection of high quality commercial fonts in a less restrictive implementation of the Embedded OpenType (EOT) font format dubbed "EOT Lite".

Ascender will be updating the AscenderFonts.com website with a web fonts license option by the end of July, 2009. Users will be able to purchase a license for fonts in the less restrictive implementation of EOT which the company has been calling "EOT Lite".
